Existe un principio de toma de decisiones que trata de implicar a todos por igual evitando largas discusiones. Esto es un consenso.<br>El principio de consenso proviene del modelo de sociocracia<br>Lo decisivo -en contraste con el consenso- es la pregunta de decisi\u00f3n: \"\u00bfAlguien tiene una objeci\u00f3n seria a esta propuesta de decisi\u00f3n?\"<br>El consentimiento consiste m\u00e1s bien en que nadie diga \"no\". (As\u00ed que no se trata de encontrar la decisi\u00f3n perfecta, sino de encontrar una decisi\u00f3n con la que todos puedan vivir, que est\u00e9 en la \"zona OK\". O lo que es lo mismo: una decisi\u00f3n que vale la pena probar. (\"Suficiente por ahora, guarda lo suficiente para probar\").<br>La persona que quiere tomar una decisi\u00f3n formula la propuesta de decisi\u00f3n y pone el tema sobre la mesa. A continuaci\u00f3n, todos los participantes tienen la oportunidad de hacer preguntas aclaratorias. Luego se pasa a la decisi\u00f3n consensuada: \"\u00bfAlguien tiene una objeci\u00f3n seria a esta propuesta?\". Quien tenga una objeci\u00f3n seria debe argumentar por qu\u00e9 no est\u00e1 de acuerdo. De este modo, la objeci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n sirve para mejorar la propuesta anterior. Si nadie tiene una objeci\u00f3n seria, o las objeciones pueden ser superadas, la propuesta es aceptada. La decisi\u00f3n est\u00e1 tomada.<br>El m\u00e9todo de consenso promueve los contraargumentos constructivos y las propuestas alternativas. Lo que cuenta es el argumento, no la mayor\u00eda o la posici\u00f3n. Todos participan por igual.<br>Si la decisi\u00f3n no funciona en la pr\u00e1ctica, cualquiera puede plantear una objeci\u00f3n seria y retirar su consenso.
